"Hands down best thai restaurant in Davis. I honestly think anyone who says it's not either doesn't know what authentic thai food is or hasn't been there.
I work down the street, so I often go there or get takeout three or four times a week. Service is always very fast and friendly, the food is delicious, and the atmosphere is relaxing. What more could you ask for?"

"The best Thai food, period. We ate here all of the time when we lived in Davis. We moved to the So. Bay over 2 years ago and still come back to Davis to eat here. No other place, even in the Bay Area, can compare."

"I have been going to Thai Recipes since my days as graduate student (oooh, almost 10 years). The owner used to teach a Thai cooking class at the Experimental College in UCD, and infuse every dish with a delicate sensibility. Their food is not sugary sweet (like most other Thai restaurant in the Bay Area), with a complex flavor from the combination of herbs. We still dine at this place every time we are in town. I tend to like their noodle and rice dishes such as the Pad Si Yeo, Pad Thai and Fried Rice (yellow curry, Tom yum or basil), which are very delicate and full of flavor. Their fried fish cake and fried shrimp are very good appetizer. Noodle soups are musts if they are available. Thai style noodle soup is a rare thing in NorCal, especially good ones.
To enhance your enjoyment, tell them that you would like the dish prepared as they enjoy it (that is, if you like your dishes spicy hot)."

2009-09-07 11:20:03 Certainly the best Thai food available in Davis. But bear in mind, it is neither a romantic place for a date, nor is it much of a "hang out". If you are after the food though, this is the place to go. Their soups, curries, and seafood are all top notch. —pilotgeek
